Security agency’s ex-brigadier, his wife, two daughters found dead in Rawalpindi

Police in Rawalpindi say they have found bodies of a security agency’s officer, his wife and two daughters.
The bodies were found in their house at Gulistan Colony of Rawalpindi on Tuesday.

Police evaded comments on the incident and said they are investigating motives behind the mysterious murder.

Police sources said personal enmity could be a possible cause as it was not a robbery attempt. None of the households was touched.

The slain retired Brigadier, Dr Sikandar Malik, was living at the guarded colony of the Al-Shifa Eye Trust, police said. He was living with wife Shahida Sikandar, Fatima and Zainab in a rented house of Al-Shifa Eye Trust.

Sources said the guards found the bodies after they entered the house when no one responded to the bell and knocking at the door.

Police said all were shot and killed and the gunmen fled despite security at the colony. Sources said that no one is allowed to enter the area without showing Identity Cards. The incident has raised concerns about the security lapse.

Police said that Haider Ali son of Sikandar survived and he was found alive. The police will take his statement later.

Security officials also arrived at the scene to hold preliminary investigation due to his association with a security agency.
