Imran Khan opposes pre-condition for Taliban talks


Chairman Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf, Imran Khan, on Tuesday opposed pre-conditions for the proposed talks between the government and the Taliban.

Speaking at a private TV interview he said if the Taliban refuses to obey the constitution and the parliament‚ action will be taken against them.

He reiterated his call for opening of the Taliban in Pakistan to facilitate the dialogue process.

Opposition parties had angrily reacted to Khan’s suggestion for the Taliban office however he defended his proposal in the pattern of the Taliban office in Qatar.
   
“Our enemies are funding some groups of Taliban against Pakistan,” he said.

PTI says that terrorist attacks have increased in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as the APC decisions have not yet been implemented.

The party has also convened a conference of Ulema in Islamabad on October 5 to discuss peace process.
